The Ploy
Alternative title: La macchinazione

Directed by David Grieco

In the summer of '75, Pier Paolo Pasolini's film "Salò" is stolen from the lab where he is editing it, setting off a chain of events leading to the poet's violent death.

This film is not currently available to watch online. It may be awaiting release or may no longer be available on any known streaming service.

The Ploy is a dark Italian drama about political violence, corruption and hidden personal histories. David Grieco gives the film an angry, serious tone, and while the storytelling can be dense, its sense of moral unease gives it weight.
