Weekend in the Countryside
Alternative title: Week-end à la campagne

Directed by Matthieu Salmon

Pierre joins his friend Marc for a weekend at a country house, encountering Marc's unruly dogs and navigating their friendship's boundaries amidst personal advances and canine hostility.

This film is currently unavailable to watch. It may be unreleased at this time, or may no longer be available to watch.

Weekend in the Countryside is a moody French gay short film about desire, rejection and the resentment that follows when affection is not returned. The characters are deliberately difficult, but Matthieu Salmon creates several striking images and a simmering atmosphere that makes the friendship’s deterioration feel increasingly uneasy.
