Hirsute starts with a physicist meeting his future self and somehow ends up turning time travel into a comedy about identity, vanity and desire. A.J. Bond writes, directs and plays both versions of the protagonist, and that one-man setup should feel like a gimmick. Instead, the short film is clever, visually polished and strange enough to keep its paradoxes entertaining even when the logic bends.
