I wish I knew how to QUIT you!

How can anyone not like Brokeback Mountain? Casting straight actors is forgiven, given the year (2004/5), Jake and Heath do a remarkable job. It was unfairly overlooked for the Academy Award for Best Picture. It’s tragic, yes, But the romance feels raw. Not soapy or Hollywood-cliché. It’s a beautiful gay story with a devastating ending – and sometimes that’s needed. Not all romance’s end happily. It’s even more raw to watch given Ledger’s passing. It has to go up their as a classic, if not groundbreaking.
