In a village in the Tunisian countryside, Sofiane is getting married to Halima. He is going along with the wedding for the sake of appearances and his family, despite his profound love for his partner Fouad. When Fouad turns up unexpectedly at the festivities, Sofiane tries to get his parents to accept him for what he truly is. Against all odds, the ceremony ineluctably follows its course, thereby imposing the will of a liberty-deprived Tunisian society.
