Trevor is deservedly one of the defining gay short films of the 1990s. Peggy Rajski balances humour and pain beautifully, making a young boy’s isolation deeply affecting without allowing the story to collapse into hopelessness. Trevor himself is funny, theatrical and vulnerable, giving the film warmth even as it confronts the consequences of rejection.
